PWHI publishes roughly 6,200 catalogued places, six inscribed World Heritage properties and twenty-nine Tentative List candidates. A record of that size, built from sources of uneven quality, contains errors. If you have found one, this is where it gets fixed.

The message was empty or too short to act on — a correction needs at least a few words saying what is wrong. Nothing was recorded. Try again.
What happens to your submission. It goes straight to a private moderation queue. It is not published, and it does not alter any record, until a moderator has checked it against a source. Corrections that cannot be verified are not made — which is the same standard the rest of the record is held to.
What is worth reporting
- Protection status — a place recorded as unprotected that is in fact notified under the Antiquities Act 1975 or a provincial statute, or the reverse. This is the single most consequential field in the inventory.
- Names and spellings — including a place recorded under a publication title rather than its own name.
- Location — coordinates that fall in the wrong district, or a place shown in the wrong province.
- Condition — visible damage, encroachment, demolition or unauthorised works, especially where you can date a photograph.
- Anything that no longer exists. A site lost since it was catalogued is a correction the record needs badly, and rarely receives.
What this form is not
It is not a complaints channel to any government department, and PWHI cannot act on your behalf with one. PWHI is an independent civil-society initiative — not a government body, and not affiliated with UNESCO or the Department of Archaeology and Museums. What it can do is hold an accurate public record, and that is what this form serves.
